I've never been much of a blogger. I've enjoyed the American Papist, Whispers in the Loggia, and most recently, the Catholic Drinkie, and thought, "Perhaps I have something to contribute to the world of blogs . . . er . . . the "blogosphere".
Plus, there are many times where a Tweet or a Facebook post just simply won't do. And Cardinal Scola said that, as a priest, I should be using the internet as a tool of evangelization.
....
Today was a day off. I decided to go down Memory Lane, which thankfully, for this non-native yet long-time southerner, is a mere 30 miles south of where I currently live. Back in the day this priest washed small planes for just over minimum wage at Peachtree City's Falcon Field. After a Subway lunch with my mother, I did a fly-by of my old washing grounds.
I walked all over, took pictures while taking liberties to wander, prayed some prayers. This beautiful DC-3 was hanging out on the northern corner of the upper tarmac:
Come to find out (when I got home), a presidential candidate is going to be there tomorrow night for a talk and a fundraiser.
Come to think of it, I probably looked pretty suspicious wandering the tarmac taking pictures, praying prayers . . .
Let's hope my short ride down Memory Lane doesn't land me in the Big House.
